TOUR BLOG: CHARLOTTE

Hey Charlotte!
We had a great time in your town… and I can only hope that we get to visit you again soon. The day started when I stepped off the bus into the sweltering Charlotte heat. It was HOT. Really HOT. The type of heat that instantly required a shower. The folks at the venue were super nice and had an SUV ready to take us to the Blake hotel. The hotel was super nice. I love the Blake hotel. I was hungry so pre-shower I went wandering around Charlotte looking for a restaurant called ”McDills”. Not “Mcdonalds”. I think I may have the spelling on “McDills” wrong. But anyway I never found it and ended up at the Marshall Music Festival. Again, I think my spelling is off… Ha. I got some food from a stand serving whiting and croaker. It was delicious.
One wonderful shower later it was time to set up the photobooth. The first one went pretty good, though we had difficulty finding a place to set up in the Bijou Theatre. We did it outside and people didn’t quite seem to get it. This one seemed bound to go over better.
At the end of the show Mat asked me “was this the best crowd ever?” my response was… “Yes”. Congratulations Charlotte.
